Planned Parenthood targets teens

Teens are a target group for Planned Parenthood

Those of us in the pro-life movement know that Planned Parenthood means more abortions. Planned Parenthood is the nation’s number-one abortion provider, killing approximately 400,000 babies every year. Planned Parenthood is also Minnesota’s largest abortion provider. It has cornered roughly 28 percent of Minnesota’s abortion business, performing 3,911 of the 13,843 abortions in Minnesota in 2007.

What some may not know is that while many other abortion providers are shrinking, Planned Parenthood’s abortion business is growing at incredible rates! How do they do it? Many say that Planned Parenthood actually creates its future abortion clients. Let me explain the argument, considering teens in particular.

First off, Planned Parenthood, as we all know, isn't just an abortion provider. Planned Parenthood is also a significant provider of family planning services. More specifically, Planned Parenthood caters its family planning services to two target populations—low income individuals and those who are seeking confidential services (that means teens who don’t want their parents to know).

In case teens aren’t already aware, representatives of Planned Parenthood are frequently found speaking in schools, informing teens of its low-cost (or even free) and confidential "family planning" services. "Family Planning" is a bit of an oxymoron as applied to teens. Very few of them are thinking about planning families, at least not until they are out of high school.

If you visit Planned Parenthood’s Teenwire.comWeb site you will see that their purpose is to support teen sexual activity. The site makes teens that have chosen not to become sexually active feel abnormal and pressured. They use the Web site to advertise their centers where teens can access all of their services, including the scheduling of an abortion. (Which is not free.)

Easy access to free and confidential contraceptives makes yielding to the temptations of sex much easier, particularly for a spontaneous teen. Once sexually active, a teenager is “hooked” by Planned Parenthood as another client for its “family planning” services. However, we all know that no contraceptive is 100 percent reliable. Every method has a failure rate (except for abstinence), therefore unintended pregnancies will result. Contraceptive failures guarantee clients for Planned Parenthood’s more lucrative abortion business.

New documentary outlines Planned Parenthoods methods.

Planned Parenthood aids and abets rapists and those who engage in incest by covering up these crimes. They don't report them as is required by law. They just provide secret abortions then send young girls back into the environment where they were impregnated and allow their abusers to continue their crimes. The YouTube video outlines Planned Parenthoods methods.

(Note: YouTube adds links at the end of this video to subject matter that may be outside the scope and purpose of MCCL. MCCL does not endorse these videos.) See MCCL's Mission Statement. Press F5 at any time to return to the start of the original video.

Planned Parenthood circumvents parental rights when they tell teens that casual sexual activity is perfectly normal and even healthy as long as they avoid pregnancy and STDs. Preventing pregnancy requires the use of their birth control products and when they fail, well, they have got your teen covered. They can get them to an abortion center and they will never have to tell their parents. Planned Parenthood has certain judges that will quickly sign a court order to allow minors to get abortions without parental knowledge or consent.

These abortions involve surgery or dangerous drugs and serious complications and even deaths have resulted. Some young girls have died because they didn't want to tell their parents about the fever, pain and bleeding after a botched abortion.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 21 complications were reported by women at the time of the abortion, including cervical laceration and hemorrhage. In addition, 99 complications were reported by women after leaving the abortion provider, including hemorrhage, infection requiring hospitalization and incomplete abortion.

Abortion centers don’t deal with those problems. They send the girls to a hospital or emergency room and that visit is hard to keep secret when the doctors have to call a minor's parents to get permission to treat them or to get their health insurance information.

Think about it girls. How will you feel when you marry and discover that you are sterile or cannot carry a baby to full term because of complications of that one abortion? It is possible that the only child you will ever conceive died in that abortion.

When contraceptives fail and result in a pregnancy what does that say about their ability to prevent HIV/ AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases?

If you are a teen who has been taken in by Planned Parenthood's speakers, ask yourselves, who loves you more, your parents or Planned Parenthood?
