The 2014 March for Life was a smashing success!
Due to a 30mph wind and low temperatures, the 40th annual MCCL March for Life was moved into the Capitol Rotunda to avoid weather-related injuries.
We expected a smaller crowd, but people from all over the state came in large numbers. All three levels of the Rotunda and the adjacent halls were full of enthusiastic marchers. The Star Tribune posted photos of the rally on its website, and more photos can be viewed here.
Despite bad roads and extreme weather, the March for Life brought out courageous supporters who rededicated themselves to protecting innocent human life.
Our thanks to the legislators who attended and to Congressman John Kline, who addressed the crowd. Letters from other members of Congress were read as well.

student day a big success!
Thanks to your support, MCCL’s 2014 Student Day at the Capitol enabled many young people to be trained and equipped as citizen lobbyists and pro-life apologists. You helped make it a wonderful day!
Students from across the state—nearly 150 of them—gathered Apr. 1 for a unique opportunity to learn about right-to-life issues and to lobby their own state legislators to support pro-life legislation. They learned the facts about abortion, the legislation MCCL is supporting and how to effectively speak with lawmakers.
Young people are the future of the pro-life movement, and MCCL is working to equip them to make a lifesaving difference for decades to come. That’s the idea behind Student Day.
Their enthusiasm was palpable and their passion to defend human life provided hope for the future. Many lawmakers encouraged these young people to run for office one day.
Thanks for supporting Student Day, one of MCCL’s many outreaches to young people. Read more ...
