FEBRUARY 3:
ATTEND YOUR
PRECINCT CAUCUS

The 2026 elections in the fall will determine control of the Minnesota state government and impact unborn babies and other vulnerable lives for years to come. But the elections really start on Feb. 3 with precinct caucuses.

Your role at your caucus will help decide which candidates later appear on the ballot—and, ultimately, whether Minnesota will have policies that protect life or policies that destroy it. Lives are on the line. Your involvement on Feb. 3 is pivotal.

What are precinct caucuses?

Precinct caucuses are local meetings run by political parties. Anyone may participate if they live in the precinct, are eligible to vote in 2026 (they must be at least 18 on Nov. 3), and generally agree with the principles of the party hosting the meeting.

At your caucus, you will have the opportunity to choose delegates who will then select state and federal candidates at upcoming party conventions. Very often, anyone showing up to the caucus can become a delegate. Indeed, only a small percentage of citizens attend precinct caucuses, which means that your participation will have a hugely disproportionate influence on the election process this year!

Why are caucuses so important?

Caucuses select delegates who later help determine which candidates the parties endorse, including the candidate for governor. That means you hold the key to whether competitive pro-life candidates run in the fall elections—candidates who can win and then will fight for Life in office. Will Minnesota further entrench extreme policies like abortion up to birth? Or will we begin to restore protections for unborn babies, pregnant women, and other innocent human lives? It depends in great part on precinct caucuses.

Make a difference for Life

The 2026 caucuses will be held all over the state on Tuesday, February 3, at 7 p.m. Mark your calendar right now so that you’ll be sure to make it. The location of your caucus can be found via the Caucus Finder at the Secretary of State’s website starting Jan. 15. MCCL will also email you details as the caucuses approach; make sure you are on our email list by signing up.

Please help make a difference for Life at your caucus:

  • Attend your precinct caucus on Feb. 3 and vote for pro-life delegates to your local
endorsing convention. Get friends to attend their precinct caucus and vote to elect
themselves and other pro-lifers as delegates.

  • Watch for important future communications with news about the caucuses as it develops. Remember to check your spam folder for emails from MCCL.

Thank you for your involvement in precinct caucuses—and for partnering with us to build a pro-life future for our state!
