The lives of infants with disabilities are frequently devalued. We call on legislators to pass “Simon’s Law,” named after Simon Crosier, a baby diagnosed with Trisomy 18 who was denied lifesaving treatment against the fervent wishes of his parents. The bill ensures that before a provider issues a DNR order, the parents of the child are notified and given time to transfer the child to another facility to receive care.
