After the election, fight against radical ERA begins
On Nov. 3, as part of a nationwide wave, abortion supporters took full control of Minnesota's state government, winning the state House, Senate, and governor's office.
Although the election results were based on economic issues and not cultural ones, pro-abortion lawmakers are now expected to pursue their radical so-called "Equal Rights Amendment" (ERA). The proposal would entrench abortion-up-to-birth for years to come, nullify parents' right to protect their children from the harm of gender "transitions," and erase the conscience rights of churches and people of faith.
We stopped the ERA bill in 2024 (despite total pro-abortion control!). We can do so again—through the efforts of Minnesotans like you all across the state. Please do two things right now:
First, sign up for MCCL's email alerts at mccl.org/signup, and make sure you follow MCCL on social media.
Second, contact MCCL to receive important informational materials you can share at your church and in your community.
Thanks to everyone who voted pro-life, shared MCCL's TV ads and election resources, encouraged others to vote, donated, campaigned, and so much more. Your dedication likely made the difference for a number of pro-life legislative candidates who won very narrow victories. You helped minimize the impact of the national wave and strengthen our critical upcoming work to defend vulnerable human life in Minnesota!
